    General Information

    1. What are the requirements for my child to join the Piranhas swim team?

Your swimmer must be able to swim the length of the pool (25 yards) unassisted in freestyle on the first day of practice. If they are unable to do so, they will be removed from the team. Registration fees minus a $30 processing fee will be refunded. Please note that the swim team is not a “learn to swim” program. Swim lessons are available through the City of Pflugerville.

    2. What if my child can swim but does not know all four competitive strokes?

That’s okay! As long as they can swim freestyle for 25 yards unassisted, our coaches will work with them on learning proper stroke techniques and improving their times.

    3. Where do practices and meets take place?

Practices and home meets are held at Gilleland Creek Pool, 700 Railroad Ave, Pflugerville, TX.

    4. What league does the team compete in?

We are a charter member of the Northwest Swim Circuit (NWSC), which includes teams from North Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, and Georgetown.
