Ribbons and Awards

Ribbons and awards are filed in boxes according to the swimmer's last name, and boxes will be made available at the meets on Saturdays at the volunteer check-in table until 9:00 AM. It is a big job with many people involved and mistakes happen. If you are missing a ribbon or have any questions, please email the ribbon coordinator at [email protected].

Regular Meets: Points and Ribbons

Individual Events

1st - 4 points 

2nd - 2 points 

3rd - 1 point 

4th -10th 

For a two-way tie, the points for the place for which the swimmers are tied and the next lower place points shall be added together; divided by 2 in determining the total of points to be awarded each swimmer.  Each swimmer receives a ribbon for the tied place and the next lower place ribbon shall not be awarded.

Relays

1st - 5 points 

2nd - 3 points 

3rd - 1 point 

Time Improvements

Time Improvement ribbons are awarded for new personal best times in individual events, and a BITE (Better in Three Events) award is added for earning time improvements in all 3 individual events in a single meet. The current BITE award is a wristband.
